It’s essential to use an eDiscovery platform if you are a litigation attorney. The problem is that small firms just can’t afford big name platforms. I suggest that my clients use Goldfynch. It’s fairly user-friendly and has everything necessary to review, produce, and view eDiscovery documents. The platform can be found here: https://goldfynch.com/

What I like best about Goldfynch is that you do not pay for project management, uploading files, purging files, and monthly fees to use it. You only pay for the GB storage- and it's prorated.

Goldfynch software has a broad range of capabilities including:

Search features using complex Boolean searches

  • Saved search capabilities

  • OCR of documents (takes the text of a document and makes it searchable)

  • Automatic Data Classification

  • Metadata information (who created the document, document modifications, dates and times, and document location)

  • Identification of duplicate documents

  • Document tagging

  • Free document processing

  • Bates numbering

  • Redacting

  • Production Exports

  • Links to productions for opposing counsel to view produced documents

  • Cloud based housing with bank grade data security

Goldfynch will even allow you to upload a small set of documents to evaluate the platform, free of charge. It’s well worth looking at for small law office eDiscovery needs.
